Since the establishment of the company in 1999, we have always been involved in digitization projects and in general in the introduction of new technologies that can strengthen the competitive positioning of our Clients, enhance human capital by simplifying and streamlining processes. For us, the subject of servitization, or rather digital servitization, is the natural expression of the team’s expertise, on the one hand in strategic marketing, planning and finance, and on the other in digitalization to support the business.
In an increasingly turbulent and competitive market, presiding over customer relationships and directing the business model toward the so-called service economy is a fundamental tool of competitiveness and attention to the very value of the business in the medium to long term.
Servitization is an increasingly popular way to generate recurring revenues from services complementary to the sale of related equipment or even to transform the sale of the Product into the sale of a Service with the contractual modalities of pay per use and pay per performance. Greater business value, greater customer service and sustainability implied in the Product-Service System model.
Aware of the importance of this issue for our industrial background, we are raising awareness and knowledge about digital servitization and the importance of the new professional figure of the Servitization Manager at www.servitizationmanager.eu.
The Servitization Manager is fundamental in this change, focused on knowledge of 4.0 technologies and the design of customized product-services. This figure strategically guides manufacturing companies from the “product-oriented” to the “customer-oriented” model, accompanying them in implementing the new business model and adopting the necessary technologies. It differs from the Innovation Manager, who focuses on creating a path of innovation within the company, accelerating technology to increase competitiveness. Both play key roles in driving change and ensuring the future success of the company.
Today we can count 7 Innovation Managers and 3 Servitization Managers in our team. In particular, Alessandra Gruppi is the first CEPAS – Bureau Veritas certified Servitization Manager in Europe thanks to her collaboration as a business innovation expert in the Things+ project, led by Friuli Innovazione.
