Case #4: Introduce a strategic planning and control system

Main theme: introducing a strategic planning and control system (Balanced Scorecard BSC approach) for internal use and for reporting to the new external governance. 

Company ID card: manufacturing SME has come under the control of a multinational company and now a different approach to reporting on activities based on the BSC model is required. 

Requirement: train the company’s top management to strategic planning and control methodologies and identify tools to support the activity (ERP- BI review). 

Goal: introduce a planning and control system in line with the group’s logic. 

Activities performed  

  • skills assessment with respect to the topic at hand 
  • analysis of the tools available and the present planning and control system 
  • training on the methodologies introduced 
  • coaching in implementation and initial reporting to headquarters.
